Samyang VDLSR MK2 Cine Set review

After many years of searching for a new set of lenses for my filmmaking, it all came to two different options. I firstly thought about using Sigma art lenses, these are very robust and have an incredible look. I have worked many times with the 24-105mm lens this is a fantastic lens that did everything I wanted it to do and more, I found the colours to be the exact way I like and I loved how versatile it could be using all the focal lengths. Additionally, I found the build quality to be fantastic with a great weather seal with a metal body made for a strong and durable setup, this being something I find necessary for my kit as I work in aggressive environments.

With all this in mind I also wanted to see another option to see what that would look like in terms of workflow and visual creativity, I researched the difference between cine lenses and photography lenses. Filming allows me to be creative choosing kit that will help that creativity is sop important to my filmmaking journey, having had these lenses for the past month I have decided I made the best decision as I have fallen in love with these lenses and shooting on the 35mm has become so much fun.
