Shooting digital comes with a lot of kit, most of which aims to make our lives easier. Despite this on recent shoots I have noticed more times than not the kit fails and then we are back to a base/ core kit. Which in turn means you have to have a really good base kit, this has been my aim for when I was building my kit up. Having a collection of lenses that I can use throughout my photography kit as well as my videography kit, meaning I have confidence and knowledge in the glass I shoot. With a small collection of lenses I also have two camera bodies, a GH80 and a Black Magic 4K cinema camera. I feel both have similar sensors picking up greens and skin tones in a way I find honest, especially when colour grading allowing for me to capture the look I aim for.

Here is the current Peli case with my full video kit (except my 17-40mm canon), this current kit box is forever growing with changes including new lenses, batteries and ssd’s. Like all camera nerds I do love getting camera kit but I have forced myself to only buy something if it is severely needed and to ensure this I try to borrow the kit I think I might need before committing to purchase, this way it makes me think if its completely necessary. Upgrading kit is something I want to do soon but with jobs coming and going I am going to wait until I figure out my niche as there are certain things I would need for in studio and other things for shooting outside.
